Hello Aleksandr,
I appreciate the attention you are paying to this issue. However, on the balance of risk (genuine customers being blocked again) I am not prepared to reactivate the plugin at the present time.
Fortunately, the original reason for installing CleanTalk (prevent nefarious people registering on the website) no longer seems to be an issue (possibly due to improvements in Wordfence or Siteground security?).
We are a small company with limited resources to deal with this amongst many other important issues. At some future time if traffic grows and we encounter problems that CleanTalk might mitigate, we may try again and hope to avail ourselves of your help then. But for the time being, I’ll mark this issue as resolved, but sadly in the negative sense that we’ve deactivated the plugin.
Regards,
Barry Brunning
Hello Eugene,
After this experience there is absolutely no way I will ever use the CleanTalk plugin again. As explained, had it not been for extraordinary circumstances I would not know that genuine customers had been blocked.
Sincerely,
Barry Brunning
“cannot this of circumstances” should be “cannot think of circumstances”

Was just letting you know your solicitation did not dismiss. A minor annoyance. Don’t have time to do more on this. Hoping you’ll find the issue. If no, I’ll just put some CSS so I don’t see the message.
Hello Dimitry,
Yes. Thank you CleanTalk for taking action.
Barry
Hello Serge,
No, it did not help on the evidence to date. Still seeing the ‘XHR started’ message. I did clear the browser cache.
The console message is still highlighting the same console.log statement, although now at a different line number, presumably as a result of the ‘Use Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library’ option now On.
However, what was it using with that option Off? I’m struggling to interpret the explanation with that option: ‘This option includes external Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library to getting visitors info data’. That sentence makes no sense to me.
Best regards,
Barry
Hello Dimitry,
As you say “Unfortunately”. May I suggest such an option would be a desirable enhancement? Developers and. I assume, GSC look for a clean Console. Even picky users looking at a site can be put off by Console messages. I fail,to see a Console message is necessary for the purpose you state.
I find the ‘Resolved’ unsatisfactory.
Hoping for better.
Thank you,
Barry

In reply to: [SiteGround Migrator] mu-pluginsHi Kuzman,
The documentation says under FAQ “We move only your WordPress content – themes, plugins, uploads”. Mu-plugins are plugins. They are listed on the Plugins Admin page under Must-Use.
I’m moving from an old domain name to a new domain name, both sites at SG under the same plan. Our mu-plugins are two. The first a part of Perfmatters, the second Easy-Wordpress-Admin-Notifications; so nothing to do with the hosting provider but part of our WordPress site.
The Migrator is a terrific tool and much appreciated, but maybe an option to include mu-plugins would be useful. Also a note in the documentation, which as far as i see does not use the word ‘folder’. I imagine you’re trying to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible for the novice, that I can understand. But if someone has the confidence to choose the DIY route for a migration, they can probably benefit from a somewhat fuller technical definition of the move.

Barry BrunningHi Dimitry,
Yes, this solved the issue both in older MacOS/Safari and iPhone6 iOS.
Thank you,

Hello Dimitry,
So equipment I have where the problem manifests:
Mac OS Safari iMac early 2009 10.11.6 El Capitan 11.1.2 MacBook Air 13” mid 2012 10.14.6 Mojave 13.0.4 Mac Mini Server 10.14.5 Mojave 12.1.1 iPhone 6 iOS12.5.6 12.5.6As stated, I have newer Macs (and phones/iPads) where there is no problem. For me, even on the older Macs, I can just use Chrome or Firefox. On the iPhone 6 the problem is insurmountable. However, my concern is for users of older Macs and iPhones (and probably older iPads) where the website just looks like it’s not working. Most users will not think to try Firefox, Chrome or whatever just assuming the website is hopeless. This will apply of course to any website using CleanTalk, not just our site. And always to bear in mind, this older hardware while perfectly serviceable and useful for most things, cannot be upgraded.
Thanks for taking the time to look at this.
Kind regards,
Barry Brunning
Hi Wicked,
Tried to use your suggestion but without success, perhaps due to my lack of understanding.
However, in case it might assist someone else, I have now achieved my objective by adding:
body.admin-bar .woocommerce-layout__header, body.admin-bar .wicked-content{ top: 0px !important; }to function fix_adminbar_padding() in the User Role Editor code mentioned in my question.
Thank you anyway.

Yes. Wordfence.
If one goes to: All Options/Firewall Options/Brute Force Protection – Additional Options – Uncheck: Prevent discovery of usernames through ‘/?author=N’ scans, the oEmbed API, the WordPress REST API, and WordPress XML Sitemaps and then Save Changes, then Wicked Folders finds the users.
Wordfence recommends keeping this option enabled. However, the WordPress opinion seems to be different. See Why is the REST API enabled by default?
Since we have strong passwords and 2FA we should be secure.
Thank you,
Barry BrunningHello WF Support,
Successfully assigned folders to owners on a localhost system. Now trying to repeat on the live site https://www.datastream.world. Unfortunately, all I’m seeing is a ‘Searching …’ message.
It’s happening on Posts as well, so not just Products. There’s only about 30 users registered.
Any suggestions please? Happy to provide a staging site if that’s useful.
Thank you,
Barry Brunning
