WP Mail SMTP has detected incorrect “wp_mail” function location

    I use WP Mail SMTP Lite and Brevo.

    I installed SureMail and successfully sent a test email.

    I received an error notice from WP Mail SMTP:

    WP Mail SMTP has detected incorrect “wp_mail” function location. Usually, this means that emails will not be sent successfully!

    It looks like the “SureMail” plugin is overwriting the “wp_mail” function. Please reach out to the plugin developer on how to disable or remove the “wp_mail” function overwrite to prevent conflicts with WP Mail SMTP.

    What am I supposed to do?

    The notice you’re seeing is because the SureMail plugin, like WP Mail SMTP, is designed to override the wp_mail function to handle email delivery. Ideally, only one SMTP plugin should be active at a time on your site to avoid conflicts.

    To resolve the error, please try deactivating all other SMTP plugins (including WP Mail SMTP) and keep only the one you wish to use for sending emails. This should prevent any conflicts and ensure smooth email delivery.

    I am probably going to sound like a moron here, but I thought that SureMail was supposed to worh with and complement my existing SMTP plugin. That is, WP Mail SMTP + SureMail = better, faster, more reliable emaoil.

    I did not realize it was to replace my existing SMTP plugin!

    So, I will deactivate WP Mail SMTP and let SureMail take over.
