Hello! I’m seeing the message below on the WP Dashboard…
Forminator encrypts and securely stores all payment and integration keys. Click Add Key to add the required FORMINATOR_ENCRYPTION_KEY to your wp-config.php for enhanced security.

This plugin has been active on my site for over 3 years, wasn’t this already done on installation?

    Hello @va-cape,

I hope things are going well for you.

This plugin has been active on my site for over 3 years, wasn’t this already done on installation?

Actually, no. Forminator introduced this encryption enhancement for Stripe and Paypal in version 1.35.1 back in 2024. Previously, the notice only appeared when the payment field was added, and users had to manually add the key to wp-config.php. Recently, the Forminator team improved this process by displaying a notice to all users and allowing one-click addition to wp-config.php. Follow this guide for the steps: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#add-forminator-encryption-key-config. This update helps prevent integration issues when the WordPress security key changes.

Let us know if you need any further information.

    Kind Regards,
    Imran Khan
