I am working on a client site that is running php 8.1; we’re in the process of upgrading to 8.2, but the timeline is beyond my control. I’m on 2.1.10 and I’d like to apply the 2.3.1 (security) update, but I’m unsure about the PHP requirement. Any info would be appreciated.

Although it is highly recommended to use a supported version of PHP, the plugin requires PHP v5.6 or later itself.

The plugin has been updated so that anyone using a buggy version shall be able to update the plugin directly from their WordPress dashboard.
