    Hello and good day.

We are using Elementor and have a video set for the homepage header.

However, the video is intermittently loading and will stop loading.

I have reached out to hosting provider and they recommended adding mute an to the YouTube video url.

That worked for a little while but now it seems to be happening again.

    Can you help, please?

    Hi @rayeason,

Most modern browsers, including Chrome and Firefox, block videos from autoplaying unless they are muted. To ensure your video autoplays as expected, please make sure to ‘Mute’ the video. This is a browser policy to improve user experience and prevent unwanted sound. And this is outside of Elementor control.

Browsers block background videos from autoplaying with audio to prevent unexpected sound for users. There’s no workaround to force autoplay with sound. The only way to play audio is to require the user to interact with the page (like clicking a button in a popup), which then allows the video to play with sound.

    I hope that helps.

    Kind regards,

    Hello and good day.

Yes, my hosting provider explained this and recommended I add a mute variable to the url (which I did).

    It is still not working.

    Here is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA3RnL9N9TU&mute=1;autoplay=1

Should we use a video with no sound?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for contacting us.

You can try to use the video without sounds and see will the video play then?

Please notify us how it behave then.
