Hi Tim!
Okay, based on what I know now:
- How long ago was it (approximately) since the last update? Was it from before 2.x?
- Are you a Plausible CE user?
- Did 2.5.3 fix the issue for you?
Okay, in that case I think it’s safe to conclude that this issue is fixed.
I just tested on 2.5.3 with CE and an invalid API key: no critical errors, and a notice was shown prompting me to enter a valid API token.

Thanks for your work! Although in the future I will never contribute to the wordpress support forum again. But you have a github repo, so I will just create an issue there in the future.
Hi Tim,
Feel free to reach out to us on Github. I’ll be replying there, too. 🙂
