    Can I delete the contents of the Vendor folder, especially things like ‘Microsoft’, ‘AWS’ etc which I don’t use with BackWPup. Is it just bloat that the plugin will continue to work without?

    Also I’m still hoping/ waiting for the plugin to go back to the previous practice of backing up the site and all files in a single compressed file. It was much better and more intuitive and, I understood, we were promised it would be reinstated in an update.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    It isn’t recommended to delete any files from the Vendor folder, as these are needed for the plugin to function correctly, even if certain services aren’t actively used. Removing them could cause unexpected errors.

    We’ve already made improvements to reduce the plugin size and will continue to optimize it in future updates.

    Regarding the combined backup, a single job for files and the database is planned for the next update, so you’ll have this workflow available again soon.
