Same issue …
There is a cron job set to run daily
wpb_daily_sync_cron_loginpress with the action Closure
I believe this started after the most recent update
Yes, I found the cron jobs set by this plugin and stoped them at the same day, but I still waiting for respond by the plugin developer…. who looks like will not answer…..

Hi @antekapa @bklogos
We noticed this issue and addressing it very soon. We missed the Opt-out integration with the log and sending an updated release in this week.
no worries.
No worries??? Are you serious?
This log file contains public keys, server path, server IP address, emails of site users, plugin version numbers, information which we in no way want to be automatically uploaded to I don’t know where every day.
This is almost certainly a violation of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and exposes organisations using your plugin to compliance issues with GDPR.
It’s an unacceptable error. Given your “no worries” response makes me feel all LoginPress users should disable and remove the plugin asap.
This is very definitely *NOT* OK and as @rhubub says almost certainly a GDPR violation. This needs to be OPT-in with a clear description of what is being sent if you’re going to persist in sending yourselves site info.
Note this is probably happening with other WPBrigade plugins. I saw a similar error from the https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-headers-and-footers/ plugin.

Hello @all
We just sent a release that has the opt-out and opt-in fixed.
For some reason your plugin not get updated on my website
An error occurred while updating LoginPress: Download failed. cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 1000 milliseconds with 241262 out of 3628601 bytes received
This is the error which I get when trying to update it… no problem with other plugins updates, but yours….
Hi @antekapa
Please try updating again, as the problem might be due to a slow internet connection. If the issue persists, please get in touch with us on our support forum so I can check the problem on your site.
It is not a slow internet connection, my server has a 10GBit connection, whatever, I tryied again and still does not work, (another 5 plugin updates without any issue…) but I dowlnoad the file and upload it manually, so it is updated now… Will see the logs these days.
Thanks!

Strange, Thanks for sharing your feedback.
BTW Were you trying to update LoginPress or LoginPress Pro?
Your plugin has also started to run cronjobs on my site Why? I have not asked for it. If your log files you get from your users really contain, as it has been said above, IP addresses and emails of site users, this would be an absolute violation of the GDPR. You are not entitled to do this, and opt-out is not enough either. It would still be a violation. You would have to make it opt in. It is also unacceptable to simply start cronjobs of this kind (or any, for that matter) without even asking your users. Please state the nature and purpose of that cronjob.
Furthermore, I do not see any opt out. Where is it supposed to be? (I am speaking about the free version.)
