Unconfigured Elementor Panel
-
Hi!
When you activate the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, the Elementor edit panel loses its configuration and you can not edit the texts.Attached image.
What can it be?
Thank you,
Eder.

No one to say anything? π
same issue here! even with latest version …
the site origin widgets bundle expands the elementor panel in width and leads to unexpected behaviour of the toggle for the panel-width and width-changes (besides the issue claimed by @eder-tuffic)
deactivating the bundle – the issue is gone …dont know whats the reason this error stays for weeks. no one reading issues here?
this is quite bad implementation and should be fixed VERY soon.-

… after some research i found a part of the issue:
at least partly due to style.css for elementor in siteoriginwidget that sets the editor wrapper to 400 px instead of native 300. no idea why this is the case … theres no need for it obviously.as for the icons not staying within the editor panel for mce i have no clue at the moment whats that related to – but its for sure that this issue disappears also when siteoriginwidgets are disabled – so its again due to siteorigin! no doubt.
all in all i am no developer – but for those at siteorigin it should be easy to determine that within no time and: FIX IT.
dont know if thats poor integration or just not wanting to listen to free users – have seen this has been already mentioned weeks ago on their own forums. obviously nobody wanted to fix that meanwhile?
cant be so hard to get such a tiny little thing in line.at the end its not possible to explain such to my clients… so only solution at the end will be to ditch off those widgets, forget siteorigin forever and move on to another location???
come on guys – thats really poor. cant be that one simple plugin destroys the experience of a whole page-builder… no?

Thanks @designa for sharing the error you found, but we need at least one response from the support staff
Hey guys, please help us!
Oh no! Your comments mean that we will now get a balasting of posts saying how wonderfully good siteorigin is now, so as to ensure your posting of your comments disappears way down the comments list in cyber space so it cant be found by anyone, it always happens when someone posts bad things about their plugins….. LMAO Don’t expect their support any time soon……

… siteorigin seem to implement their own mce-settings or -skins somehow, because at some point original settings for elementor are overwritten or interfered, what is finally causing the mce panel problems.
prove me wrong – or up to siteorigin to fix.
@wwssupport:
i do expect their support. and soon too btw. offering plugins at the wp repo should be more than just a link to premium services… which i never would take if the promises here are not kept. so simple π-

Hi everyone,
Sorry about missing this thread! We’ve started to look into this issue and we should hopefully have a fix for this within a couple of days.
Regarding the width issue reported by Dasigna, we’ve worked out the cause for this and completed a fix that will be in the next update also.
We’re very sorry about this! I would recommend getting in contact with us over our forums rather than WordPress.org as we’re able to better monitor incoming threads. Please note that our forums are free and absolutely no purchase is required to receive support there.
Many thanks for the reply @alexgso \o/
… whoops! surprise.
thanks – already posted this on siteorigin forums… maybe that helped?
anyway, awaiting your solution eagerly π
Hi dasigna,
To be completely honest, that’s how I found this thread.
@alexgso π
Hi Everyone,
Okay, so a quick status update. To resolve this issue we’re making major changes to how we’re adding TinyMCE to pages. This change is honestly a massive one and as a result, there’s a large potential for compatibility issues. It’ll take some time to iron out all of the related issues.
An example of such an issue is that you (as of writing) can’t use any plugin that makes use of the Widgets Bundle Framework and Elementor at this time if you still have SiteOrigin Page Builder activated – Elementor will never load. This means that you’re only able to use the base SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and none of the additional widgets added by Livemesh, Widgets for SiteOrigin, etc.
You also must be using WordPress 4.8. This will definitely not be the case when the update is released.
You cannot use the Add Media editor functionality with the SiteOrigin Editor at this time. You can however still use the Add Media functionality included in the text editor.
Due to the above issues likely not being a major concern for most of you, you should be able to use the beta version of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle without any real issues. You can download it here. To install it please navigate to WP Admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins, find and deactivate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and then delete it. Click Add New > Upload Plugin and upload/activate the so-widgets-bundle.1.9.4-beta1.zip
Please understand that this is an in development (very untested) version and other issues may occur.

o.k. 1.9.4beta1 tested⦠(wp4.8 / no sitorigin page builder)
no issues so far, even with livemesh addons for elementor active.
elementor text editor behaves as normal β great πonly persisting issue is the extend of the native 300px width of elementor-editor-wrapper to 400px.
still dont know why this is done β fixing it within css meanwhile. still to be fixed by siteorigin!! please.great work so far β thanks guys.
Hi dasigna,
That’s purely an oversight – it’s intended for SiteOrigin Page Builder but we weren’t specific with the selector. That’ll be fixed in the full update.
many thanks alex – great work.
can use those widgets again without embarrassing clients π
