    Hello,
We have received the complaint that the optout is not working on our website.
When they go to our website (cookies) – even when they click on “don’t sell my ….” it still doesn’t let them.

    The website is https://www.christkindlmarket.com/

Now we have added the check box instead of link to ccpa.

But how do we know for sure that it is being compliant and no user data is being collected when the check box the option?

    Hi @dgr8saurav,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

It seems like you are using both “CCPA & GDPR” banner on your site and the default state of non-necessary category is set as enabled. So if the user optouts and then click on “Accept”, the non-necessary category will be accepted or else they should disable the non-necessary category from the “Cookie settings” modal.

Please note that to block the cookies from a category, you should add that cookie setting script to your site via our plugin only by adding that scripts to Cookie category > Edit (any non necessary category) > Head scripts/Body scripts.

    Hello,
    Sorry for the late reply.
I have disabled the non necessary cookies.
Now, if the user selects opt out then he doesnt get any cookies right?

We have not added any cookie script anywhere in the plugin.

We just want that when user opts out then no cookies are stored in their system.

By doing the above setting, can we be sure that what we want is achieved?

    Hi @dgr8saurav,

Disabling the default state alone won’t help to block the cookies. As we have mentioned earlier, to block the cookies in a category you should add that cookie setting script to your site via our plugin only.

If this is not possible, we recommend you to migrate our plugin to the revamped version and then connect to CookieYes for scanning cookies and auto-blocking them.

Please refer this thread for a hassle-free migration.
