TinyMCE: changing function of a button

hey folks,

i have a problem with my tinymce editor:
i wanna change the standard-button “u” (underline), so it is not anymore posting “<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”></span>” around my selected text, but a different style. where can i find the function which controls the output?
