Hello! After the latest update to 3.33.0, I noticed that the Ken Burns effect on my home page stopped working on mobile devices. It works on desktop. I am using the Astra free theme and the free version of Elementor. Everything is updated to the latest version. All caches are cleared. I reverted to the previous version 3.32.4 and it worked again. Could you tell me where the problem might be or which of the new settings I should disable so that I don’t have to skip plugin updates just because of this.

Thank you for reaching out. There are no known reports of any issues after updating to version 3.33 that would affect this behavior on mobile devices.

Please try the following steps to rule out any local conflicts:
    1. Clear all caches and temporarily disable any mobile optimization features from your cache or CDN plugin.
    2. Go to Elementor → Tools → Regenerate CSS & Sync Library.
    3. Temporarily deactivate non-essential plugins and test again, especially those related to blogging, affiliate tracking, link cloaking, redirections, or JS/CSS optimization. These can sometimes interfere with motion effects.
    4. If the issue persists, test briefly with a default WordPress theme.

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried again. I updated Elementor to the latest version (3.33.0) again.

    1. I cleared all caches and disabled mobile optimizations everywhere.

    2. I regenerated CSS and Sync Library.

I tested again on several mobile devices on different browsers in incognito mode, and the Ken Burns Effect still does not work on them. As I mentioned above, as soon as I downgrade to the previous version, it works as before. Therefore, I am inclined to think that the problem is neither in the theme nor in a conflict with plugins, but is directly related to the Elementor update. In other words, the problem comes directly from the update, given that the current configuration has been working flawlessly with previous versions so far. For now, I am staying with version 3.32.5 and disabling updates until the problem is fixed.

    Hi! @ricav

    Of course.

The URL is https://utopialeathergoods.com , but I’m currently sticking with version 3.32.5 because of this issue.

Thank you for taking on investigating it!

    Hello @gemart1
Thank you for providing the link. Checking on an iPhone, the Ken Burns is working as you mentioned. Can you please update to the latest version of Elementor so we can check it on our end and replicate the issue?
There have been no reports that is is not working with the latest version; I am not able to replicate the issue on my test site: https://fvwucgie.elementor.cloud/ken/. It appears to be another factor conflicting with this.

Is there any custom code on the page? Have you tried the update with only the Hello theme and no other plugins activated? Ensure a backup is in place before proceeding with this.

    Looking forward to your reply.
    Kind regards,
    Richard

    Hi @richardk23

I updated Elementor to the latest version again and the Ken Burns effect stopped working again on mobiles. I also noticed that the slideshow freezes on the second image, even though there are four. I’m inclined to leave it like this for a while so you can check it out, but I’m not sure I want to change the theme and disable plugins because I don’t want to interrupt the functionality of the website. Yes, I have custom code added with WPCode, but as I said, there have been no conflicts with Elementor so far.

    Hello @gemart1
Thank you for the update! I’m sorry to hear the issue still persists.

As I could not replicate the issue on my test site, it appears to be specific to the site. It may be something else incompatible with the new version of Elementor. To determine this, the troubleshooting steps are recommended. Another option would be to clone the site (create a staging site), and proceed with the steps there to find out what is causing the issue.

    Kind regards,
    Richard

Later, I opened the test site on my phone, and it also didn’t work and got stuck on the second image. I tested it on several different phones, but they were all Huawei phones that were more than three years old. Perhaps it has something to do with the devices.

@gemart1 yes that appears to be more the case than anything else. On an iPhone with the current iOS, it works fine. The Android OS may be outdated or incompatible with newer browser versions that support this function.

    Thank you for your cooperation!

For now, I will stick to the latest working version because Android is more widespread than iOS where I am, and I prefer it to work well on older devices as well as being able to test it on mine. I am marking the thread as resolved.
