This issue has been addressed in many places in the WordPress core in this ticket: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/63887

Looking through the code, I don’t see any way to disable it (or I overlooked it). However, it is not harmful in any way. In fact, it is rather helpful when analyzing the code.

I think the only way to remove it would be to parse the code before output. This would certainly be feasible with a custom development.

If you consider this a necessary option in WordPress, you can open a ticket here: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/newticket
