Still receiving spam

Hello,

I downloaded WP Armour to prevent spam messages on the contact form on my website but I still continue to receive spam messages. The form is Contact Form 7 and the website host is WP Engine. Is there something that I’m doing wrong? I’m a novice to all of this so please explain in laymen terms. Thank you.
