“Status Updates Paused”

Is there anyway to have it “not” do this? I can’t get anything else done, as I have to sit and stare at this page until it finishes scanning 20k + files. My work I do is on my PC, and I can’t go to another tab or anything as it pauses if I click off of that browser tab.
