• When enabling de “Stackable Text as Default Block” option (Settings -> Stackable), in the Gutenberg editor, every time I click in the empty space below the last block a new Text block is created, not 1 but as many as you click in the area below the existing blocks. I mostly have to delete them all manually.

I tried this on a new site with only Stackable installed and it happens only after enabling “Stackable Text as Default Block”

It would be nice if this is not happening, at least when there is one empty text block as last block.

Is the a way to prevent this behavior?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi @bokibe ,

This behavior happens because Gutenberg automatically creates a new “default block” every time you click in the empty space below your last block. When the Stackable Text as Default Block option is enabled, Stackable replaces the normal WordPress Paragraph block with the Stackable Text block so each click triggers Gutenberg to insert a new Text block.

We’ve already forwarded this to our development team as an improvement request, as it would be ideal to prevent additional blocks from being added when the last one is already empty. For now, the only workaround is to keep this option disabled if the extra blocks become disruptive.
