Hi there,
WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin requires Jetpack to work. Since you have removed the Jetpack plugin, it is showing that notice.
The only way to remove the notice is to remove WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin, but if you don’t want to do that, you will need to reinstall the Jetpack plugin to make it work.
Also, could you please let us know what clash was happening when you installed the Jetpack plugin?
Hi Animesh, thank you for your reply.
The issues started with Jetpack Boost. I kept trying to run it, but keep getting this message: ‘Whoops, something went wrong. Failed to load Speed Scores. Timed out while waiting for speed-score.’
I uninstalled JP Boost. But boosting speed and optimizing my database is really my goal. I felt that Jetpack without Boost wasn’t really achieving that, so I installed a plugin called Hummingbird.
This seemed to be working, so to avoid overloading my dashboard with too many plugins I uninstalled Jetpack. Then my dashboard got stuck with that warning message.
Now, fortunately, a helpful JP support person has explained that my host needs to allowlist certain IP ranges for Boost to work. I have just now changed hosts (for a number of reasons) and am going to reinstall Jetpack.
Can I run Jetpack and Hummingbird simultaneously?
Best Regards
Cec
Hey @iridium21
Jetpack plugin and Hummingbird work together, but Jetpack Boost and Hummingbird could have compatibility issues, if you have multiple WordPress performance plugins installed, they may conflict with each other and lead to unpredictable behavior or even break your site.
You can keep Hummingbird activated and install Jetpack to work with WooCommerce plugins. But I recommend you to not use Jetpack Boost in case you want to keep Hummingbird running.
Let me know if you have any questions.
My best regards,
Michelle
Many thanks for your reply, Michelle.
I’m glad I didn’t run Boost with Hummingbird.
I’ve now got JP site accelerator running, without Hummingbird, and it appears to be going well. So I’d call the issue resolved.
Kind regards,
Cec
Fantastic, Cec! Happy to hear everything’s working normally for you now. 🙂
Have a great rest of the week.
Jetpack installation notice
Hello!
I deactivated plugin Woocommerce Tax & Ship. Jetpack installation notice is gone.
That means if you using Tax & Ship.. you are forced to have tons of Jetpack advertising.
Greetings
