    Hi,

I prefer using the Gutenberg block for the creation of galleries over the method using the shortcode.

When I select 33 or more images (at least that’s the threshold in my case) from the media library and create a new gallery, it is not possible any more to order the images by dragging them around.

I’m not sure if the threshold lies in the number of images selected or e.g. on the size of viewport or screen resolution or … when you edit the Meow gallery Gutenberg block. In my case, 32 images can be displayed in the Gutenberg block without scrolling, and the 33rd image creates a new line outside, and NO scrollbar appears to scroll down to images 33ff.

I can order the images 1 to 32 by drag and drop, but since the other images are outside the screen and not accessible, I cannot order them.

Is there a possibility to order images in the Gutenberg block with another method, e.g. sort by title?

    Thanks in advance

    Hey @dillhausen! 👋

The section in which you can drag and drop the images to reorder them is not actually part of the plugin, this is the core WordPress media selector. Using the latest version of WordPress, it seems there is no problem reordering more than hundreds of media in this window, there should be a scrollbar that allows you to go further in the list. Unfortunately, I will not be able to help in that regard since this is not directly related to the plugin.

As for sorting, the next update of the plugin will have a “sort” parameter for the Gutenberg block so you will be able to select some sorting presets. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
