We are currently looking for a tool to handle our WP plugins (our growing liste) for our website https://www.traeningshulen.dk Are there anyone who can give us some pros and cons for this specific tool and perhaps some alternatives for handling this?
Thanks in advance
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
I suggest you read the good and bad reviews about the plugin to know the pros and cons. I hope someone else will also comment, because I’m the author, I love my plugin, and my comment may appear not objective.
Pros for me.
You can have a website with many heavy plugins and still have good performance.
You can use it for solving plugin conflicts
You can use it to preview a page with or without some plugins
You can reduce the HTTP requests, but also the database queries
Cons you may have.
You may disable some plugins you should not disable, and then of course you have issues.
You have to work. This is not a one-click to enable something and then your website is perfect and fast. You need to know where you can disable specific plugins, and setting up the plugin requires time.
Alternatives:
Plugin Organizer
Plugin Load Filter
Asset Cleanup (but only for the assets, not for the entire plugins)
Then it depends on your preferences. Freesoul Deactivate Plugins is based on matrixes, where you have the pages/posts/post types… on the rows, and the checkboxes to disable the plugins on the columns. Many people love the matrixes, but there are also people who hate them in the beginning. If you are one of those ones who hates the matrixes, you may find it hard in the beginning. The other alternatives manage the settings in a totally different way, without matrixes.
Here is a picture that gives an idea about the matrix:
I hope it helps
Have a great day!
Jose
