Figured out that ASE has a conflict with “Admin Menu Editor” by Janis Elsts. When this plugin is installed, the “hide admin notices” function of ASE works fine on the dashboard, but isn’t shown anymore e.g. on a single page backend.

Generally: the pointer cursor for the menu button of the “hide admin notices” is missing.

That usually means there is no notices to hide, so it won’t show up. Are you sure that there’s one or more notices when you disable Admin Menu Editor and view that single page on the backend?

Yes of course. Tested it. 😉

If I deactivate “Admin Menu Editor” a bunch of notices are shown again.

Do you see any javascript error in the browser console when that happens? If so, can you post a screenshot?

Additionally, please also send a screenshot of the notices that are present when Admin Menu Editor is disabled on the single page. If you can share from which action or plugin those notices came from, that’d be useful as well to help troubleshoot.

Okay, that was strange. I’m afraid my guess was wrong. It was not “Admin Menu Editor”. The problem was “Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster”. And for sure it was one of my settings I did there.

So this is up to me to figure this out. I’ll have to make some further tests to find out if it is due some of my settings or the plugin in general.
    I’ll inform here…

Sorry for the confusion. I was to fast.

No problem. Let me know what you find.
