Patterns always synced

    I want to add custom (unsynced) patterns to my site, and when I add them with Create pattern/reusable block and don’t enable the Synced toggle, they are still fully synced when editing and when I look at them in Manage patterns. Is there a bug with this?

    I cannot reproduce the issue: I’m able to create both synced and not synced patterns. If I create a not-synced pattern, add it to a post, and later modify the pattern, the post still has the old content. I tried with two different browsers (chrome and firefox, using macos).

    I wonder if something is setting the “sync” toggle always active before you save the pattern? Can you share what happens when you create an unsynced pattern?

    A not obvious thing you could try is deactivating your plugins one by one and try recreating the pattern, to see if some plugin is interfering with pattern creation.

    Thanks, you’re right I’ve managed to get it working on a blank site. On the normal site when I create an unsynced pattern, it comes up with a notification saying the unsynced pattern is saved, but then the pattern is synced. Will try the deactivating plugins trick.

    @pixelshrink have you found any solution? I’m corrently facing the same issue, all my patterns are synced even when I don’t toggle the sync option.

    @meymigrou Yes, Rank Math SEO plugin was the problem. Update Rank Math and it should be fixed now.
