Hi @spadilha
Is your homepage a static page or is it set to latest posts?
If it is set to latest posts, you can modify the social settings (such as the title and description for the open graph tags) by going to your WP admin dashboard > SEO (sidebar) > Search Appearance > General tab > Homepage.
If it is set to a static page, you can edit that specific post or page, go to the Yoast SEO meta box and then click on the Social tab and go to the Facebook section and set a specific title, image, and description.
Hi Michael, thanks for your quickly response.
I’m using the latest posts, but even when I change the details on “Search Appearance > General tab > Homepage” the og:title and og:description meta tags don’t show up in the home page source code.
You can see the screen shots here:

This is very odd and was unable to reproduce the issue on our end when using the WPML on a fresh WordPress installation.
What happens when you write a static text in the Social title and description field rather than using Yoast SEO’s template variable?
We look forward to hearing from you.
It doesn’t show up.
But I found out that when I deactivate the plugin/addon “WPML SEO” the og:title and og:description show up.
Any thought on why is this happening?
I contacted WPML support and it seems there’s a bug on WPML SEO when the Home page is set to latest posts. They opened a ticket to fix it.
For now you can deactivate the WPML SEO addon or just create a page for the Home (that’s what I did).
Thank you!
