Need bandwidth help
-
We developed our website using WordPress because it’s so easy to do without specialized technical knowledge. However, our hosting company has advised us that we’re running into problems that are beyond our skill set to fix.
The main issue is that we are running out of bandwidth. Our hosting service recommended setting up Cloudflare as our CDN provider and sent us the following link for more info:
https://developers.cloudflare.com/fundamentals/get-started/setup/
However, that page really didn’t provide us with enough information to know how to move forward. They also recommended installing the Loginizer plugin on our WordPress site and changing the slug for our login page. That requires an upgrade to their pro version and we are making sure we have the budget for that. It seems easy enough to do, but we don’t know to what extent that will help with the bandwidth issue.
Can someone in the community with more experience talk us through the steps to fix this? Or can you recommend an inexpensive freelance developer who can help? We are a small Quaker meeting with a very limited budget for such things, but our website is invaluable to us in terms of both staying in touch with our members and providing information to the public. Our website has already gone down once because of this problem, and our hosting company gave us more bandwidth, but it’s being eaten up, apparently via security attacks.
Many thanks for any help anyone can provide!
