Missing return policies structured data

    Hi, I’ve noticed Google’s Rich Results testing tool now reports errors with the MerchantReturnPolicy structured data that Yoast’s WooCommerce plugin provides, namely that it is Missing field ‘applicableCountry’ and Missing field ‘returnPolicyCategory’

    I know your documentation states that Yoast doesn’t support the return policy structured data, but it is an option in the Woo plugin settings. Having added the link to our returns policy, we now get the two errors above, but there are no settings in Yoast to define the applicableCountry or returnPolicyCategory.

    Can you tell me if you plan to add these to a future release, having added the Return Policy option?

    Same. merchantReturnDays is also required. Had to create a custom plugin, but think this should be in Yoast or Yoast WooCommerce.

    Hello @lockwood77,

    Thanks for using Yoast SEO. Google recently began reporting on these optional schema properties. Some questions about proper implementation still need to be answered. Thus, we await more information from Google before considering including them as part of the structured data schema

    Thanks for the info @maybellyne. Per Google’s docs these are required:
    applicableCountry
    returnPolicyCategory
    merchantReturnDays (required if returnPolicyCategory equals MerchantReturnFiniteReturnWindow)
