• Hi,

I recently changed my WordPress theme to “Extendable” (version 2.0.26), and now the options under “Appearance” like “Customize” and “Widgets” are missing. They were showing fine with the previous theme.

I didn’t install any new plugins or make other changes.

Can you please help me fix this?

  • Hi Marim,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Extendable is a block-based theme, so it doesn’t include the Customizer or Widgets menus. These are replaced by the Site Editor (Appearance → Editor), which you can use to make all style and layout changes.

Just to better understand the situation:

    • Were you using Extendable before as well, or a different theme?
    • If it was Extendable, do you recall which version it was?
    • Also, was there any plugin active that might have added Customizer support?

Here’s a quick guide to help you get started with the Site Editor: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/site-editor/

    Best,
