Hey! Testing this out for a client and love pretty much everything. Comparing it to FluentCRM and one thing they do better is using the standard Block Editor for the Email builder.
Do you guys have plans to migrate away from the custom drag & drop editor (ie: the old page builder paradigm) and simply replace it with the Block Editor and limit the blocks available to ones that work with HTML email?
I’m so glad to hear that you’ve ben loving everything so far! : )
Regarding your question about the editor, yes that is actually one of the biggest development efforts at the moment! You can try out the Alpha version of the new Gutenberg/block-based editor in the current version of the plugin by going to MailPoet > Emails > Add new email, and clicking the down arrow in the Newsletter email type as shown here:
There’s still a lot more functionality on the way, but you can get an idea of where it’s headed!
@kellymetal incredible!! so hidden i had no idea 🙂
I suspected you guys would be first movers because of the Automattic connection now. Great to have a unified experience all coming together with Gutenberg/Block Editor, Jetpack, Jetpack CRM, Mailpoet etc. Excited to see how it evolves will contribute testing/UX feedback here or in Github if you ever open up issue/discussion there
This seals the deal — definitely recommending Mailpoet to clients etc when setting up this entire ecosystem.
Thanks for giving it a try, and for offering to help test and share UX feedback. For any feedback, you can leave them in the forum or via our Feature Requests portal.
