Links below TOC don’t work with CSS implementation

If you use the CSS implementation of the TOC, when the TOC is collapsed any links in the text directly under the TOC don’t work properly.

Example (not my site)

Collapse the TOC, the links to “boilerplate code” and “code snippets” no longer work properly.

Easy to recreate, create a TOC with a number of headings, add text under the TOC with links to other pages. Enable CSS loading method. Collapse TOC, links stop working. Expand TOC, links work again.

We have checked the given URL and did not find any issue with that. Can you please share a short video of the issue for reference purposes? So that we will go through it and get back to you immediately.

Try looking at it on a desktop screen that is 1100px wide at least.

Here’s a video. You’ll see when I mouseover the links with the TOC collapsed the URL does not appear at the bottom left of the browser window and the clicks (yellow blobs) do nothing.

When I expand the TOC, the links appear as expected.

We re-created this at our end and did not get any issues. Can you please refer to the following reference video and let me know back once?

Thanks for the update! So the issue is only in the area where the TOC would overlap links. Try setting the TOC to 100% width (TOC settings, appearance, width). You might also need some more headers so the TOC is longer.
