• Doesn’t track country of origin, doesn’t say % of other systems per device(only the top one), no option to see stats on the top bar, etc

The free version is too incomplete.

    Hi @peq42,

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. The country of origin indeed is not included in the free version. The main reason for this is that the distribution of the Geo Ip database goes through our own servers, so opening this to all users is costly. We will take a look at our free offering with a fresh look though.

As for the device filtering: by default it shows indeed only the top one, but you can use filters to show other data. For example, you can filter by mobile visitors, or desktop visitors alone. This is the same for free and pro version.

For this particular issue it’s also about finding a balance between not showing too much to provide clear and easily understandable stats, and showing too little. But we will certainly take a look at how we can provide this kind of data as well, without losing the simplicity that everybody loves.

still doesn’t change my opinion. The free version is just too limited. It’s almost not useful

    Hi @peq42,

I understand your point of view. If you’re expecting all the data GA provides, Burst might indeed feel too simple for you.

We try to provide a free tool that “is enough” for 90% of WordPress websites. And most importantly is not too overwhelming and bloated. We have to decide based on user feedback what features make it into the plugin. Your feedback helps decide if we still have the right balance.

You don’t have to agree with our approach, but I hope this explains the reasoning behind it.

    All the best,
    Hessel
