Kills page performance
-
After an update, the plugin added a 4s delay to every page load… even the xmlrpc.php… After disabling the plugin the website worked again normally.

Hi!
Sorry to hear that! Could’ve sent me a support ticket, though?
Which update was this. It might help me determine if it’s a bug.
Thanks!
Daan
If something like this can happen, it shows that there are fundamental design issues in this plugin. Your response that this “might” be a bug doesn’t increase my confidence at all.

You’re jumping to conclusions.
I’m not immediately assuming that this is a bug, since you seem to be the only one (of 60K+ users) that’s experiencing this issue. It might be a compatibility issue with one of your other plugins, or a conflict with your server configuration. Basically, it could be anything at this point. Otherwise I would’ve had many more support tickets and/or 1 star reviews mentioning this issue, don’t you agree?
I don’t know anything about your configuration at this point. If the fact that I ask questions (and am willing to help you) doesn’t increase your confidence then, well, that’s a shame.

I will not let your plugin anywhere near my website anymore, as I now manually replaced the fonts.
If you are interested, I can easily demonstrate the problem to you.I’m always interested in anything that might increase the quality of my plugins. But please drop the derigatory tone. I’m a human being, there’s no need for statements like:
I will not let your plugin anywhere near my website anymore.
I’m sure you can think of a nicer way to say that. This plugin is free. There’s no need to talk down to me, even if there’s a bug in the plugin.
Anyway, besides demonstrating the issue, I’d like to know what other plugins are you using?
As I bought the pro version, so I consider myself an actual customer, but anyway. I just wanted to make it clear that I don’t need or want support. I have already solved the issue.
Sorry for being annoyed, but I wasted almost 2 days finding the source of the issue, and it was your plugin, that should not be able to have such an impact.

Got it. I’ll leave this review for what it is.
Thanks for sending me the link, and offering to help out.
To anyone else reading this: with Thomas’ help, I managed to find the bug he was experiencing and it’ll be fixed in the next release.
Thanks, @ggnomes for your efforts!
