    I’m trying to activate the plugin, but the page just keeps loading and nothing happens.

    I previously had Plausible CE installed on this site. Does the plugin store any settings or data in the database? I’m wondering if there might be some old data left over that’s preventing the activation from completing.

    I also noticed that after trying to activate it, my site becomes unresponsive. I have to log in via SSH and manually delete the plugin folder to make the site work again.

    It’s not clear to me where this is going wrong. Is your site literally crashing when you activate the plugin (i.e. on the Plugins Overview page)? Or is it crashing when you’re activating the API key? I’m asking, because old date could theoretically influence the latter, but the first should always work, regardless of previous installs.

    That’s very odd and definitely a first. Just to verify, you are installing the plugin directly from this repository (wp.org)?

    Where are you hosting your site? Are you running any Ecommerce plugins? Is it just the frontend that becomes unresponsive, or also the admin area?
