So when it is compatible, will be there an update (maybe just update the readme.txt) to WordPress 4.5.x?
I found no issue at the moment, so it could be enough to change the “tested up to” in the readme.txt

It’s compatible now. Don’t see a reason to update just to change a version string at the moment.
You don’t need to make a really update. It is enough to change the “tested up to”-tag in the readme.txt and commit it, that’s all.
And so everyone in his backend and at https://wordpress.org/plugins/php-code-widget/ see that it is compatible. In the backend then, there isn’t an update available because you don’t change the version;)
There is no change of the version string 2.3
Yes, I know. But because I’m not using tagged versioning on that one, I don’t want to change the last updated time. 🙂
