I have several rows in my FORM, each row to be filled in a NAME and a DATE of BIRTH for a person.

For the DATE of BIRTH field I have added an input MUSTER like: 9999AA
The user than sees this specification for this input value and the form judges on the input of valid with 4 numbers and 2 alpha characters.

But, if I do’nt make the FIELD a required FIELD……, than this input MUSTER does not work.
User can fill in any character and order he wants. Not good.

Seems like a bug to me.
Can this be looked into and solved please?

    Hello @dobbelsteen ,

I tested the same scenario on my test site, and it worked fine here: https://share.zight.com/RBuDZEgL.

However, when I checked your site, I noticed that the Date of Birth field is not working as expected, and I also found a console error: https://share.zight.com/Qwurd2pv.

This issue may be caused by a conflict with another plugin or some caching on your site. To troubleshoot, please try the following steps:

Clear cache – If you’re using any caching or optimization plugin, clear the cache and test again.

Check for conflicts – Temporarily deactivate all other plugins except SureForms and see if the issue still occurs. If it works, reactivate the plugins one by one to identify which one is causing the conflict.

Switch theme – If the issue persists, try temporarily switching to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Five) to check if the theme is affecting the field.

Once you’ve tested, please let us know your findings so we can help you further.

    Best Regards,
    Avinash
