    Plugin works well… until I uploaded a 246kb file, which it converted to 581kb! I know WebP is usually, but not always, smaller. Could you add a check so it keeps the original if the converted size is larger?

  • You’re correct. i also faced same issue with some JPG images. I manually compressed WEBP and uploaded.

    This is now fixed in v1.2.1. when the resulting image is larger in file size, the optimization is skipped and the original image continues to be uploaded. A console warning also says what happened.
