• Hi guys,

I really like the plugin but is there any way to block iframes? I can’t get it working to block Iframes and it seems like it isn’t supported as of now?

I’d love to see such a feature with placeholder support.

Simple example is an embedded Google Maps iframe. The iframe can’t be shown to users that haven’t given consent but instead of seeing nothing there’s a placeholder that says “You need to accept cookies to show this…” and when the user gives consent the iframe is loaded.

    Is something like that planned?

    Thanks!

    Hello @holafreak,

Thanks a lot for the feedback. This is a very valid use case.

Blocking iframes (like embedded Google Maps) isn’t supported yet, but it’s already on our radar and something we’d like to support in a future version of the plugin.

We’re tracking this feature request in issue #38.

The goal is exactly what you described: prevent the iframe from loading before consent, show a clear placeholder message, and then load the iframe dynamically once the user accepts the relevant cookies.

Thanks again for the feedback and for using the plugin!
