How do i give link to my categories

    When I am trying to provide a link to category i do it like : “/category/uncategorized”. This does not work on localhost as it becomes localhost/category/uncategorized.
    What I need it is to be is localhost/wordpress/category…

    I can put it manually but I am afraid it might not change when I take the site live.

    What is the URL of your project? You can find it under Settings > General. Does it contain the path /wordpress/ and have you actually installed WordPress in this subdirectory?

    Continue to check the permalinks. You can find their settings under Settings > Permalinks in the backend. You should not have selected “plain” here. You can also adjust the URL for the category base here, if necessary.

    Tip: create a backup before making any changes, as changing the URL settings could make the project inaccessible. Alternatively, you can also set the settings directly in the database.
