We’re backing up to a NAS that does our versioning, and the %hash% added to the filename is messing up that versioning, especially since the hash changes for each backup.

Is there any way to get around this? Can we do a backup without %hash% in the filename, or a static %hash% that won’t change on each backup?

  • @tbare,
No, this is BackWPUp naming system, it’s using hashed string to identify file, that how BackWPUp works, so you can not get around this 🙂
Btw, If you find BackWPUp is useful for you, we would really appreciate if you leave a positive review and rating.
This would encourage us to develop new free features and provide free support 😀
