Google Consent Mode v2 Query

    I use your plugin on approx 60+ websites for my clients so I need to be sure that I have understood the v2 consent correctly. Having watched the video you provided, I have now removed the GA4 tracking script (that was previously in the plugin in the header) and added the G-XXXXXX ID into the Integrations tab into the Google Tag Manager field. This is switched to Enabled and I added it into the relevant Cookie Category. Is that all I need to do to be compliant on the website?

    With GA4 I don’t have a code that starts GTM just G – is this still the correct one to use?

    After setting up the plugin as per above, I have checked in my GA account and when cookies are accepted on the website, no data flows into the ‘real time’ reporting? This worked previously. Have I configured things incorrectly in the plugin?

    Thanks for using our plugins.

    Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager (Standard Implementation) and Google Tag Manager (Consent v2) are all different integrations.

    Our plugin caters to both but it’s important to choose which one you want to use.

    Please note, the Google Consent Mode v2 is an advanced integration method.

    Your development team should check the integrations and inspect your GTM scripts using Google Tag Assistant to see which tags are fired and how your tags operate.

    Alternatively, our plugin also offers the standard GTM integration method and also plain GA4 integration that we recommend for non-technical users because the standard method only requires you to add your GTM ID inside of the ‘Integrations’ tab within our plugin.

    I have used the Integrations tab to enter in my GA ID into the Google Tag Manager V2 as per your video instructions. I believe that we need to use the Consent V2 mode by default now in order to conform to GDPR guidelines and remain compliant and that the GA4 and Google Tag Manager (standard) are no longer sufficient. But this doesn’t appear to be working. Please advise.
