Google Analytics breaks when Aggregate JS files is enabled
-
Hello,
Great plug-in btw! I am finding that Google Analytics breaks if ‘Aggregate JS files’ is enabled. In addition to this it also breaks if that option is disabled but if ‘Do not aggregate but defer is enabled’ is there anyway of getting it working with either of these two options?
The inline script for analytics is populated by means of the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration plug-in.
If I choose not to Aggregate or defer js files then Analytics works just fine but this does have a negative affect on my Google Pagespeed score.
I have tried adding analytics.js to the list of scripts to exclude from AO and have also unchecked the Misc option Minify excluded CSS and JS files with no success.
I did see an old thread https://wordpress.org/support/topic/dont-include-google-analytics/ which seems to suggest adding the Google tracking ID to an exclusion list but the only exclusion list I can find is one for files.
The site is up to date on everything and running the Storefront theme.
Kind regards
Steve.
