• I recently updated my entire website, including a change of themes. For over a week, everything was working fine — until this morning.

I used a feed validator and got this message:
line 2, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:2:0: XML or text declaration not at start of entity

    Line 2 says: <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?>

I don’t see what’s wrong with that, although I’m not much of a techie.

    Feed: https://ProsperityPlace.com/feed/podcast
I deactivate the cache plugin and deleted the PowerPress folder and reinstallled the plugin, both to no avail.

    Any suggestions.

    Hello (@jbsotkin,

Contact your web hosting, it appears to be a blank line getting added to all of your web pages including your feed. The blank line will make your feed invalid. Last time I saw this it was with WP Engine, their add-on plugin that goes into the mu-plugins folder was outputting a space, but they fixed this many years ago. It could be a theme or another plugin causing this, or even a wp-config.php that has a php tag in the wrong place can cause this as well.

    Thanks,
    Angelo
