[NSFW] Extra data starting at offset 3037

    Updraft (v1.25.9) completes but with many repeated warnings in the log with the message:

    0066.414 (0) PHP event: code E_WARNING: unserialize(): Extra data starting at offset 3037 of 3040 bytes (line 18, wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/vendor/brumann/polyfill-unserialize/src/Unserialize.php)

    0066.414 (0) Dropbox: request deletion: backup_2025-07-27-0152_Suffolk_Tango_52d349f2cdcf-db.gz

    0066.415 (0) PHP event: code E_DEPRECATED: Function mcrypt_decrypt() is deprecated (line 103, wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/Dropbox2/OAuth/Storage/Encrypter.php)

    I have seen similar ‘extra data’ errors on the forum but none for offset 3037 of 3040 bytes.

    WordPress 6.8.3. Is it safe to ignore these warnings?

    We’re aware of this issue and our development team is already working on a fix. It’s currently in the testing phase and should be included in one of the next one or two plugin releases.
