Hi. @mikeyswede,
Great question and you’re absolutely right, sending notifications for a large batch of products can overwhelm your subscribers 😅
Yes, there are a couple of easy ways to handle this:
- Temporarily Disable Post Notifications
- Navigate to Icegram Express → Settings → Post Notifications
- Disable notifications during the bulk upload
- Re-enable once done
- Upload Products as Draft(Recommended)
- Import/upload products in Draft status
- After completion, either:
- Publish in bulk while notifications are disabled, OR
- Publish selectively as needed
- Exclude Product Post Type
- Check Post Notification settings
- Unselect Products (WooCommerce) from post types to prevent triggering emails
Note:
Approach can vary slightly depending on upload method (manual / CSV import / bulk tool).
Thank you but wasn’t able to do any of your suggestions, couldn’t find what you suggested in the settings – btw we have WooCommerce…
But I did this instead
In Campaigns Dashboard I changed my campaign to Draft instead of Active kinda like your suggestion #1 and will reactivate it when all is done
We used to delete certain items of the Report Dashboard but lately (after the big update in November) it doesn’t work anymore
Maybe you guys could come up with a smart solution (like a tick-box) in an upcoming release
Hi @mikeyswede ,
Thanks for the update and that was actually a smart workaround 👍 Switching the campaign to Draft during the upload is a good way to prevent notifications.
Apologies for the confusion earlier, especially with WooCommerce in the mix. Settings can sometimes feel a bit different depending on setup. Your use case makes complete sense bulk uploads shouldn’t trigger a flood of emails.
Regarding your suggestion about the tick-box just to clarify, we already have a checkbox option in the Reports section where you can select and delete reports in bulk. Screenshot 1 & Screenshot 2 for reference.
If possible, could you please share a screenshot of where exactly you’re facing the issue while deleting reports? That will help us understand and guide you better.
Also noted on the report dashboard behavior after the November update we’ll review that as well.
For now, your current approach (pausing the campaign and reactivating it later) is the safest way.
Thanks again for the feedback really helpful!
Glad to help out…
Well we did try the checkboxes in Screenshot 1 but when we got to Screenshot 2 nothing happend ei we typed in from the “Type [Varunytt – Miyako Japan – Miso Paste 150g] to confirm” in to the box “Enter campaigne name” [Varunytt – Miyako Japan – Miso Paste 150g] both with and without the [] and nothing happened…
Hi @mikeyswede,
The campaign deletion feature is working as expected. When you delete a campaign, a confirmation popup appears showing the campaign name, and once confirmed, the corresponding campaign report is also removed.
We recommend updating to the latest version of the plugin and trying to delete the campaign/report again.
Please let us know how it goes.
