    Hi,

    below you will see the error from the error logs that is related to checkout not working for one specific product. I saw in the forum here that you are working on this issue, but I would like to be updates on when this gets resolved. Hence this post.

  • Have the same error with a customer site.
    the issue there was that the filename of the image had a ‘strange’ character in it like an – ‘Emdash’

    OMG! Thank you so much. There was en é in the image name, removed it and it works!

    Same here with a customer site.
    We also advised our customer to avoid ‘strange’ character in the image names.

    But we also downgraded to an older version till this problem is resolved.
    Because we are not sure how frequent this issue will appear for the customer.
    And every time this error occurs, an order could be abandoned by the visitor of the webshop.

    To be fear, I don’t understand the policy why a payment wouldn’t go through for a wrong image URL.
    Can this be clarified?

    I also found another treat where they confirm this issue, and stating that tey are working on it.

    Apologies for the inconvience caused by this issue.

    As mentioned, we are aware of this issue, and we are currently looking into it.

    For now, we recommend downgrading to the previous version of the plugin (7.1.0) while our developers continue to investigate the issue introduced in version 8.0.0.

    same issue here. This stuff should not happen and such an issue should def. not block any orders. When will this be resolved?

    Thanks for working on the issue. I see this in the dev log: “Fixed – imageUrl will be validated before adding it”, so does this mean that image urls can actually have strange characters again, including emdashes etc?
