As was the case 9 months ago, I still cannot reproduce this issue. The text Please wait while your request is being verified is not part of WordPress, which is why I continue to believe there is another cause for this. However, I see that you are still using Cloudflare. What does their support team say about your issue?

    Hi @pjc123

Please note this message is not generated by WordPress core, and is most likely injected by a third-party service. I’ve tried to reproduce the issue by visiting Biker Stuff → Event Calendar using multiple browsers, but I was unable to see the “Please wait while your request is being verified” message..

Whenever you encounter this message again, kindly right-click on the page, select “Inspect”, and copy-paste the wrapper div or relevant source code shown around the message. That will help us identify the exact source for further diagnosis.

Additionally, I noticed a few console errors that are not related to your original “Please wait while your request is being verified” message, but may still affect site functionality:

    • frontend-gtag.min.js failed to load: Reinstall or update the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin.
    • reCAPTCHA api.js blocked due to MIME type mismatch: Check your firewall/CDN or hosting security settings.
    • grecaptcha is not defined: Caused by the failed reCAPTCHA script—resolving the MIME issue should fix this too.

Let us know once you’re able to capture the source code of the message.

    Regards

I saw it flash by quickly when I tried your link, but not long enough to trace it. I suspect it’s Cloudflare, though. It looks like one of their messages.

    What I have done:

I started a thread on the Cloudflare support forum.

I updated php from 7.4 to 8.3. It fixed an unrelated problem with another website, but now I have new errors on the top of the web page listed on my original post.

    @sandeep

I can’t inspect the image page because it only flashes for a second or two.

Additionally, I noticed a few console errors that are not related to your original “Please wait while your request is being verified” message, but may still affect site functionality:

    • frontend-gtag.min.js failed to load: Reinstall or update the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin.
      • I reinstalled the plugin.
    • reCAPTCHA api.js blocked due to MIME type mismatch: Check your firewall/CDN or hosting security settings.
      • I couldn’t find reCAPTCHA. Maybe an old plugin, maybe a setting. Still looking.
    • grecaptcha is not defined: Caused by the failed reCAPTCHA script—resolving the MIME issue should fix this too.

reCaptcha or grecaptcha is integrated via the Cnntact Form 7 plugin. The loading errors could be caused by the “W3 Total Cache” plugin you are using. Deactivate it and see if reCaptcha works then. If so, and you want to continue using the cache plugin, contact their support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/w3-total-cache/

I went through the WordPress “Site Health” and all plugin settings and made any recommended changes, and/or re-ran any setup wizards in case something was setup wrong. I did the same with Cloudflare. I will have to see what happens over the next couple of days.

A person at Cloudflare was able to inspect the image and indeed it came from Immunify360.
