I want to add a slider, but I get an error message: “This block encountered an error and cannot show a preview.”

There’s also nothing in the sidebar where I can make changes or add sliders. The sidebar is completely empty.

Fortunately, the slider is still visible on my website. But I can’t change or add anything anymore.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

I’m using version 6.8.2 of WordPress, the latest.

    Regards,

    Hello @theodelaruelle

It might be a conflict with another plugin or theme. We’ve tested it in multiple environments and versions, but the error did not occur. If you don’t mind, please contact our dedicated support team at support@bplugins.com so one of our support staff can assist you further.

    Thank you

    Okay, thanks.
I’m going to create a staging site and use trial and error to see if a plugin is the culprit.
    To be continued…

So, I deactivated all plugins, except B Slider, of course. The problem persisted.
I also installed and activated a different theme, but that didn’t solve the problem either.
    What other options are there?

    Hello @theodelaruelle

Could you please inspect the page where you’ve used the block and let us know if there are any errors showing in the browser console?

This will help us identify and resolve the issue more efficiently.

    Thank you!

There are a lot of errors 🙁

Mostly this is mentioned: ‘Support for defaultProps will be removed from function components in a future major release. Use JavaScript default parameters instead.’

Is there anything specific I should be looking for?

    Hi @theodelaruelle

Kindly delete the version of the plugin you currently have installed and download the latest version from WordPress.org. Then, install it on your site.

If the issue is not resolved, please let us know.

Additionally, if you don’t mind, please share a screenshot of your browser’s console log—this will help us investigate and resolve the issue more effectively.

    Thank you!

I first updated the plugin, but to no avail.
Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, as you suggested.
    Unfortunately, this didn’t help.
As I mentioned earlier, the console has a long list of notifications. Taking screenshots of them is impossible. Is there anything specific I should be looking for?
