• Any time I make any changes to any wording, even if is just a letter, I am getting 413 error. My PHP is set correctly on my dedicated server that I have this hosted on, so not sure why it’s happening. Has anyone ever had this issue, and if so, how did you resolve this?

  • Hi @biggyboss92,

A 413 error means the request is too large, and it usually comes from the web server, not PHP. When you save, the editor sends the whole page, so a long page can hit the limit even for a one letter change.

    Could you check these?

    1. Save a new page with one short paragraph. If that works, the page size is the problem.
    2. On Nginx, set client_max_body_size to 64M and reload Nginx.
    3. On Apache, check for a LimitRequestBody directive.
    4. If ModSecurity is on, raise SecRequestBodyNoFilesLimit. Its default is only 128 KB.

Let me know how it goes.

    Have a great day ahead!

    Hi @biggyboss92,

Does it happen with multiple pages/posts? Refer to the following tutorial (section: 413 Request Entity Too Large Error) and a similar forum thread; I hope they will help you resolve the issue.

If not, it would be great if you could consult the Elementor team directly about this bug.

So what fixed the issue in the end guys was on my server the mod security feature was turned on, and turning this of somehow magically let me edit my website again.

Thought I would share in case this happens with anyone else might help them in the future too.
