“Publishing failed. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit the _elementor_edit_mode custom field.”

I get this error when I go to publish a job. Anyone know how to fix it/

thanks @adityakumaratul – we added classic editor plugin and that fixed the issue.. also – dont even need the classic editor selected as your default editor – just having the plugin activated fixes the error.

Hi @sodentaltemps and @dboz,

Generally speaking, WP Job Manager is not compatible with Elementor, and we recommend working with default WordPress themes. We have more information about that here: https://wpjobmanager.com/document/troubleshooting/dealing-troublesome-themes/.

That said, I’m glad you were able to find a workaround!

On Github Elementor solved it with version 3.27.1
Problem still exist in version 3.28.2

I don’t want users to use the classic editor. Thats not the solution I want from Elementor!!!

Solved. Had to give the user access to Elementor in Elementor Role manager.
