Hello,
Thank you for contacting US
I’m afraid that there is no way to do it with our current Elementor features.
However, I have added this idea to our internal list as a Feature Request, so this feature might appear in one of the future Elementor updates. Thank you for your feedback!
There might be third-party plugins available that have such a feature so you can join our Elementor Facebook Group and check with our users there for such a plugin recommendation.
Finally, I would like to apologize for not being able to provide this particular solution at the moment. I hope for your understanding.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us again.
I wish you all the best, and have a great day!
Thank you for your kind reply,
I do understand but I hoped there was a solution based on frontend rendering (https://developers.elementor.com/docs/hooks/render-frontend-elements/).
I will try to filter content or implement a GDPR compliance plugin and see if Youtube iframes can be blocked before playing and installing tracking cookies, because it is illegal utterly without previous visitors’ consent.

Hi @christian70,
While Elementor doesn’t currently include a native option to block iframes prior to user consent, the most effective solution would be to use a dedicated GDPR or cookie consent plugin. These tools are designed specifically for compliance and often include features to block third-party scripts, like YouTube embeds, until the visitor has actively given permission.
Regarding frontend rendering hooks, they’re definitely useful for customizing how elements appear on the page. However, they don’t extend to managing the behavior of external scripts before they load, which is why your approach of filtering or deferring the iframe until consent is received is both practical and in line with GDPR requirements.
