Duplicate terms & conditions
-
Hey guys,
I’m currently using the Astra theme and building my footer using the footer builder in Customizer. However, I’ve come across an issue where there appears to be a duplicate set of “Terms and Conditions” and “Privacy Policy”, as shown in the screenshot below:

Is there any way to get rid of the duplicate that appears in the white strip? This duplicate isn’t managed by the footer builder so I’m not sure where the source of this is coming from.
Greatly appreciate any advice. Many thanks 🙂

Hi @w772
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Primarily, such an issue occurs due to a third-party plugin conflict.
Therefore, I’d request you to check whether there are any plugins installed that might be causing this.
Here is what you can do to check:
Deactivate all plugins temporarily, specifically TermsFeed AutoTerms, and see if that solves the problem. Then, activate plugins to see which plugin is causing the problem.

HumayonHi Humayon,
Thank you for your advice. I’ve tried disabling all plugins and noticed in particular when I disabled “TermsFeed AutoTerms”, both sets of the terms & conditions and privacy policy disappear:

An alternative solution to the my original problem could have been to remove the duplicate from the footer builder. However, this still leave the issue where the remaining duplicate appears out of place, as it is surrounding by a white strip.
Anyway, I’ve emailed support for “TermsFeed AutoTerms” to see what they say. However, if you have any other suggestions, let me know. Otherwise, I’ll wait to see what they come back with 🙂
Hello @w772
Thank you for your reply.
By using custom CSS code, you can remove the duplicate footer as well.
However, yes, please feel free to share the plugin Author’s thoughts with us regarding this.

HumayonHi Humayon, all sorted now!
According to the plugin’s support team, all that needed to be done was the following:
TermsFeed AutoTerms > Compliance Kits > Links to Legal Pages > Links to Legal Pages
(Click disable)However, I’ll make note that CSS code can also be useful for making adjustments to the footer – I’ll keep this in mind for future reference.
Thanks for your advice 🙂
