The event editor hasn’t changed in the recent update (except a bug fix for repeat events).
I’ve tested the plugin on multiple sites and the dates all save as they should. But this was in English using the datepicker. If you enter the date in any other format is will fail. I thought it had always been like this.
Have you been entering the date in your local language?
Hi aerin,
thanks for your quick response!
I used the datepicker and as it didn’t work I tried to enter the date manually (with the same result: the date jumps back).
My WordPress-installation is in German.
I double-checked and that was really the problem.
Here are two ways to make it work:
- Changing WordPress to English, changing the date, saving the event and changing WordPress back to German (even before publishing, I just saved the event as draft, changed back the language to German and then published the event).
- Leaving WordPress in German, using the datepicker, but changing the date manually to English: When picking a date on a German WordPress installation the date goes to say 31 Okt. I changed the k to c (31 Oct as it would be in English) and published / safed as draft and it works perfectly also.
Topic marked as solved.
5 star plugin (I already rated it before), now I know:
Also 5 star support!
Thank you once again for your help and also for being part of the WordPress community and creating such a great plugin for free,
Andi
I’ve made a couple of tweaks. Can you install and test this version and see if it fixes things: https://quick-plugins.com/wp-content/uploads/quick-event-manager.zip
Hi aerin,
over the weekend I’m on tour giving Blues guitar workshops and concerts, so I did just a very quick test on a not needed website:
Uploaded the new plugin file, activated it, changed the WordPress language to German, created an event, changed the date, published the event: The date jumped back to today. Not working. π
Best,
Andi
More tweaks, can you try again. I’ve just tested with a Danish install and it worked OK got me.

Hi aerin,
I really love your dedication! π
I tried the new one version: German WP, created event, published, date jumps back.
BUT: Then I changed the word Okt manually to Oct in the date picker and then it worked and it auto-corrected to the German ‘Okt’ even in the datepicker field!
I remember after manual correction to the English Oct it was correct on the front end (showing the German ‘Okt’), but I’m not sure about the datepicker in the backend. I think that this is now corrected is new. So maybe you are getting closer.
Hope this helps,
Andi
PS Sorry my answers take several hours, today I had a 7 hour ride in the car to my gig (35 degrees Celsius outside, no air-conditioning, oh boy … π
Tomorrow I’m on the road also. I’ll gladly test any new tweaks, just give me some time to get an internet connection.
Hi Andi,
Hope the gig went well – Wold love to to see the site (and pictures).
I think I have a solution – it will take a little while to get it coded but if you contact me on mail at quick-plugins.com I’ll send you the update. It’s a bit easier to converse via email rather than on a support thread.
Hi aerin,
I’m just about to hit the road again, so here very quickly:
My website is andisaitenhieb.de and my email andi@ and then my domain.

Andi
