Some of our customers are experiencing errors at checkout.
I have not been able to reproduce this, however we have several, but not all, customers placing duplicate orders. We then need to refund one of them. The WooPayments log has some errors in it.

Please help. What should we be looking for? We are only using WooPayments for credit card and paypal to complete the transactions on our site.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The original issue is not resolved. It was described incorrectly initially because I was going off what our customers are telling us.

    1) At checkout after paying, some customers are seeing the spinnet and never see the confirmation page. Some customers waited several minutes. One customer received an email saying her transaction failed, although it was successful and transitioned to Processing. It appears this is happening with customers checking out using Cards. I am unable to reproduce this, however I’m certain it is happening.

    2) We have +190 past due Cron jobs. I set up on Siteground>Devs>Cron Jobs>Manage Cron Jobs and also using a plugin to have wp-cron.php run every 5 minutes. Both of them appear to not be running or if they are, they are not taking care of the past due cron jobs.

    Hi @icrashrcfoam,

Thank you for the clarification and for getting back to us. The issue with card payments—where the spinner doesn’t stop or customers receive a failed transaction email even though the payment succeeded—can be tricky to troubleshoot if it can’t be reproduced. However, I suspect it may be related to cron not running properly.

To better understand your setup, could you please share your system status report (via Pastebin) along with a screenshot of any actions that are stuck, pending, failed, or past due? I noticed my colleague requested this earlier, but it seems the request might have been missed. Having this information will help us get a clearer picture of what’s happening behind the scenes.

I think got it all figured out.
There were multiple things happening all at once causing the issue. I don’t understand why it started 2 days ago without any updates to those items, but it did.

    1) Cache was not working correctly. We have cache on 2 levels, server side and wordpress side. The wordpress plugin stopped working correctly, so it was disabled.

    2) Another plugin was causing Cron jobs not to work. FiboSearch – AJAX Search for WooCommerce. This plugin was disabled.

    3) A few other configuration issues were fixed as well, however I don’t think they contributed to this issue.

We’ve had multiple Card sales this evening and emailed those customers. Several have replied that there has been no issue with checkout.

    Hi there!

That’s great to hear — thank you for sharing the detailed update

It sounds like you’ve identified and resolved the root causes, and I’m glad to know checkout is now working smoothly for your customers.

If you have a moment, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could share your positive experience with others by leaving a 5-star review on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce-payments/reviews/#new-post
